Grocery Bag - Einkaufsbeutel deluxe

Sooooo mal wieder eine Tasche ;) Diesmal eine Einkaufstüte - aber in Luxusausführung. Die Ecken sind genial gemacht. Anleitung gibts hier.

Again a bag ;) This time a grocery bag - deluxe. I love these folded corners. So clever. The pattern is this one.

Nie wieder hässliche Plastiktüten! Und die ist auch sehr stabil und wendbar.

No more ugly plastic bags! And it is very durable and reversible (is that the right word?).

Sie ist schon jeden Tag im Einsatz. Morgens mit meinem Frühstücksbrot und abends mit dem Einkauf. Meine Mutter wollte sie mir auch schon abluxen ;)

I use it every day. In the morning for my lunch and in the evening for the buying.

Gathered Clutch - Bracelet Bag

Hallöchen,

hier mal wieder Taschen :) Da ich den Schnitt so schön fand, habe ich noch eine Bracelet Bag genäht. Diesmal in blauem Jeans mit rotem Jeans-Futter. Leider lassen sich die Stoffe so schlecht fotografieren. In echt sind sie schöner. Die Anleitung gibt's hier.

Again bags :) I liked the first Bracelet Bag so I made a second one. This time I used blue and red jeans. It is difficult to take pictures. The fabrics look better in real. The pattern is this one.

Und dann noch ein schnelles Geburtstagsgeschenk. Es ist kein Zufall, dass die Farben genau denen des BVBs entsprechen ;) Diese Tasche ist nach dieser freien Anleitung genäht - Gathered Clutch Tutorial.

Sew Out Loud! QAL Keep Calm block

It's finally my turn in {Sew Out Loud} Quilt Along.

 
I designed a quite simple block. You may know the British quote "Keep Calm and Carry On". There are several cute modifications out there. I transformed it to "Keep Calm and Rip On" - we all have to rip out seams one day ;)

You can download the paper piecing templates here.

After you have sewn the PP parts just add a bit of background fabrics around them to form your block. So you can make the block the size you want (I made mine 12"x12").

You can hand embroider the written words. I thread painted mine with the free motion feed of my machine. I interfaced the background of the block with a fusible interfacing to give support. You can use my PDF print as a template or draw your own hand writing.

Padded Camera Pouch - Keyka Lou Patterns

Es gibt eine neue Anleitung von Keyka Lou. Diese gut gepolsterte Kamera Tasche. Mir gefällt besonders, dass sie diesen Zug-Verschluss hat. Die geht ganz sicher nichts verloren. Ihre Anleitungen sind immer so klever.

There  is a new Keyka Lou pattern available. A padded camera pouch. I love this strings to close the pouch. Her patterns are so clever!

Da muss ich glatt zuschlagen. will mir noch die Grocery Bag Anleitung holen.

Terrain Squares Quilt

Und noch etwas Fertiges zu zeigen :) Meine große (195x220) Terrain Tagesdecke ist auch am Nähwochenende fertig geworden. Ich hatte zwischenzeitlich die Muse verloren, weiter zu nähen. Dabei ist es so ein schnelles Muster. Auch das Quilting ist einfach und schnell - ein Freihand-Bambus-Muster. Hier gibt's die Anleitung: Day 71 - Bamboo Forest

Die Rückseite ist ein Ikea-Stoff. Schön weich und nicht zu dick. Ich habe den Quilt bahnenweise gequiltet und dann zusammen gesetzt (Quilt-As-You-Go). Bei der Größe wäre quilten sonst wieder eine Qual geworden.

The backing is from Ikea. Soft and thin fabric. I assembled the quilt in rows (Quilt-As-You-Go).

Mug Rugs - Hühnchen/Chicken

Hallöchen,

endlich mal wieder was zu zeigen :) Diese beiden schnellen Mug Rugs sind am letzten Nähwochenende entstanden. Ganz simple zwei Stoffe (Kitchy Kitchen) eng abgesteppt und mit 4-lagigem Binding eingefasst. Das Vlies ist doppelt genommen. So sind sie schön fest und stabil.Sie sind als Geschenk gedacht.

Finally something finished to show :) I made these two mug rugs on a sewing retreat last weekend. Simple quilting two layers of fabric (Kitchy Kitchen). Double batting for stiffness. They will be presents.

Und dann nach dieser freien Anleitung ein paar Flitze Hühner als Osterschmuck. Das obere recht ist etwas fett geraten ;) Sissi fand sie allerdings sehr interessant, so dass ich sie gleich wieder abnehmen musste. Sind eh als Geschenk gedacht. Für wen wohl - meine beste Kundin [1] ;)

And a few chicken for Easter from this German (simple) pattern. The right one is a little bit fat ;) Sissi found them very interesting so I had to take them off. They are presents anyway. Guess for who? - my best customer [1] ;)
